So, i've always been a 40k player but looking to get into age of Sigmar and i quite like the look of the khorne bloodbound. I whipped up a quick list for 1000 points that i think looks ok to begin with and if i build up to higher points i will add in some daemons(?) but i really don't know what i'm doing or if thats even possible...
Leaders
- Aspiring deathbringer w/ gore axe and skull hammer, 80 (warlord)

- Bloodsecrator, 120

- Bloodstoker, 80

Battleline
- 20 x blood reavers w/ icon, horn, reaver blades, 120

- 20 x blood reavers w/ icon, horn, meatripper axes, 120

- 10x blood warriors w/ icon, goreaxes and gorefists, gore glaive, 200

Other
- 6x skull reapers w/ gore slick blades, spine cleaver, icon, 280

Hey Yentzer, welcome to the correct fellowship of dark god worshippers!

Your list looks pretty good to me, the only thing I'd say is that you're paying for 10 Skullreapers with only 6. If you only have the 6 models, I'd suggest taking one out to pay half the points and have room for another unit or invest in getting that unit to full strength with the models. Everything else seems pretty good

With a Khornite army, you can pretty much go anywhere from here.
My first choice would be to invest in the Gore Pilgrims Battallion (if you don't have the Blades of Khorne book, that may also be a good investment to see all the Battalions at your disposal and other really cool additions). You pretty much have everything needed except for a pair of Slaughterpriests who are very handy in this Battalion.
Daemons are definitely a good choice, namely the Bloodletters and perhaps a Bloodthirster. Along with your Secrator, these dudes will bring the hurt.
Alternatively, Skullcrushers can be good for high wound units to slow down your opponent. They don't do as much damage as you'd want but they last a long time. If you really want these guys to shine, get them in the Brass Stampede Battalion.
More Skullreapers is always good, or adding some Wrathmongers to give some close units more attacks and also to dish out some pain

Thanks for your comments, i made the list on battle scribe because i don't have any books yet which would explain the skull reaper mistake, what would you suggest i do with the left over points?

A few options could be:

1) add a Khorgorath. He's 100 points now but the 2 damage per attack he has now makes him quite viable, especially with the secrator giving him a bonus attack.
2) A unit of Bloodletters could be good.
3) A Slaughterpriest might come in handy for his prayers.

Also, since the Blades of Khorne Battletome's (codex) release, Bloodreavers have gone up to 70pts per 10 but they now have a 6+ save instead of nothing. Worth noting as I don't think the app or Battlescribe have updated that yet for some reason, same as the Khorgorath doing 2 dmg with his Claws and Fangs attacks.

So I picked up the blades of khorne book today and decided to change the list up a bit, i'm pretty sure it's legal but I don't really know!

-Aspiring deathbringer - 80 (general) w/ bloodsworn - CT and blade of endless bloodshed,
-Bloodsecrator - 120 w/ banner of blood

-Blood warriors x5 - 100
-Blood warriors x5 - 100
-Blood warriors x5 - 100
-Bloodreavers x20 - 140

-Skullreapers x 5 - 140

-Bloodbound warband - 120

-Bloodstoker - 80

--980--

I wasn't sure which were the best items or traits for the characters but the ones I picked look decent enough,

The list looks fun.

As for the CT, you already have the bloodsecrator giving a fearless bubble and the blood rain ability of your battalion to avoid battleshock. Something like Violent Urgency might be good to get charges off more reliably, or Berzerker Lord for a bit more protection for your general.

The Blade of Endless Bloodshed is good, especially at this points limit where you won't be getting as many Tithe points.

The Banner of Blood for your Secrator sounds good, but I've used it in a couple of my games and he's just never been close enough for it to be worth it, as I tend to keep him back. I find giving the general the Violent Urgency CT tends to go off a bit more, as he's usually in the thick of it. For the Secrator, something like the Blood-forged Armour could be handy to shrug off ranged attacks, as ranged weapons commonly have -1 rend and they will always target your Secrator. That's just me though, and the Banner is good in theory if you want to put the other traits on your general.

The list looks good. Lots of fearless and can get off some brutal charges with lots of attacks

Awesome, thanks for your feedback i will swap around the command traits and things. Final question, might a slaughter priest be a better choice than the blood stoker? And is it actually legal to take the extra hero despite him not being in the formation?

Firstly I'll say the General's Handbook would be a good investment as well. It's pretty cheap (about $20 I think) and has the rules in it for matched play and tells you how to structure an army with points, in terms of what unit requirements there are and such. It's the last book you'll need, I swear haha. If you get it in the free AoS app, I think it's even cheaper.
For 1000pts, you need 1-4 leaders and 2+ Battleline, which your army covers. It doesn't matter if your units are in or separate to a battalion, if they fit the requirements, you can have as many battalions and separate units as you can squeeze in.

As for the Stoker or Priest:
They're both quite handy, but the Slaughterpriest could definitely help your army out. It depends on what you want out of the hero.
A Stoker is really handy if you have a unit you really want to have charge and do well. The re-roll his whip gives and the extra distance is great and very handy.
A Preist is a little less reliable, as his usefulness is determined by a 4+, maybe a 3+ if he managed to kill something before. However, his prayers are really good. The d6 mortal wounds is very good and goading enemies toward your units can save you from ranged enemies harassing you. And the extra prayers he can take from the battletome are also really good. The +1 to hit rolls or the +1 to save rolls that he can give a unit are both really, really handy. And the fact that he can cast one of his main ones AND the extra one you picked makes him super useful. As long as you can get those 4+ rolls haha.
I tend to roll with the Gore Pilgrim battalion because I love priests and it allows them to re-roll the dice when trying to cast any prayer. You don't need to though, it just makes them a bit more reliable. In your list, he would probably still be very useful
