After seeing the Hellforged Leviathan and it's amazing rules, I'm very excited to see the rules for the Greater Brass Scorpion. Hopefully with new flamer rules the Hellmaw Cannons may get some usage too!

Admittedly it will not be a unit that I use as regularly as, say, marked CSMs, but it still excites me more - especially now AV arcs are gone.

What unit are you most looking forward to finding the rules for?

Side note: I sincerely hope they put out rules for things they have stopped making, such as the Plasma Obliterator, or I will be very irritated on having spent so much on what will effectively become an ornament.

Exocrine, Carnifex, Pyrovore.

Exocrine is one of my go to models now. I want to see how it works in the new game.

Carnifex needs a return to glory. If Primaris jump units get a potential 1 mortal wound on the charge as a new version of Hammer of Wrath what is the living battering ram going to do?

Pyrovores. Worst unit in the game. I am interested in seeing it if for no other reason than to be shocked and awed that it's no longer bad.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Obliterators, Posessed and Mutilator. The last two because of their aweful rules in 7th and the oblits because they have cool rules which I'm interested to see translated into 8th. Also, I kind of hope that either oblits or Mutis get S5 back and some variation in their statline - maybe WS 2+ for Mutis and BS 2+ for Oblits?

Genestealers.
There was a time when seeing a unit of Genestealers across the table made people cry. Stupidly fast, able to tangle with anything due to high Initiative stats and able to put dents in AV14 made them what Necron Gauss is now, absolutely never useless.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

I'm in limbo with my army projects right now, so I just need the index already...

With new wound allocation being choice, I think taking more bullet catchers might become more important.

I have 5 Death Guard bodies remaining, and I'm stuck on building either plasma havocs, or more bullet catchers. Theres also a whole dresser of unssembled Night Lords I want to start on for 8th edition, from the ground floor up.

I want to see more info on armies that currently ignore some major rules, to know if GW keeps going that way.
Some armies like Daemons or Harlequins have army-wide invul save, and (almost) no normal armor saves. So they bypass the AP system entirely. I don't want to see stuff like that in 8th. Not because it's necessarily OP, but because it just removes one major aspect of the game.
We had a hint that Slaneeshi daemons are going to hit first in melee, even if they didn't charge. I sure hope it's not going to apply to the whole army, but just to a limited number of units. Likewise, I don't want Harlies to get army-wide "we always strike first". A few units in the whole game is fine, but ignoring some of the game's core rules should not be widely available.

I also want to see what poison and haywire have become. And grav too.

It's understandable for slaanesh daemons to hit first as they have very low resilience. I'm ok with this concept. They're glass cannons, really. But it can be really a bit rock-paper-scissorry vs more specialised armies like zerkers or khorne daemons that rely on this charges and striking first to deal damage and live through mellee.

I guess, it enspires a more tac list-building on the part of those 'pure' mellee armies. They might want some havok launchers and flamers and whatnot..

Oblit guns aint too bad while surprisingly being better in melee with S5 A3, and now with 3 wounds and still with a 2+ save.

Yeah, saw those oblits now.
I must admit so far I'm not impressed, they are Chaos flash gitz basically 3W/A looks good, they are more durable than before. Losing the powerfist hurts a lot, their weapons... I dislike the concept, but in the end they seem to be an all comers weapon, like they should be.
However, imagine an army with 9 oblits, that have to throw 9 dice each time before they even shoot (in the shooting phase AND in overwatch!) - I wonder how things like that allow for a faster game .

Ditto, flamers and melee are being buffed af an i love it. I also wanna see how ork boyz will behave in new edition. I think shootas will be free again, seeing how good assault will become now.

Also I wonder if chaos cultist will finally get free autoguns.

From the Tyranid leak, they will be fearsome. A huge movement range, 5th Ed fleet and 3 attacks base (going up to 4 if you have over 10 models) with what used to be Rending. GSC Purestrains are aparrently just the same but a GSC Purestrain squad with Patriarch hits as hard as 20 Tyranid Stealers with Broodlord

Can you still build a Scion detachment? Unique orders? Command traits? I'm curious about this one.

Kinda ashame that they went that direction. I liked the fact that Oblits were basically a swiss army knife, but I guess that was the main problem with them being horribly unbalanced throughout the ages. The new guns are flavourful but I doubt they will be as useful as before.

Still though, this nerf is a long time coming. Oblits had been one of the few chaos units you could legitimately have called "broken" regardless of the edition (except for maybe 3.0).

I'm betting on the Lion or someone else first, though Russ is top of my wish list when GW counters the impending release of Mortarion.

I know right, after Magnus it felt like Russ was the logical next one yet we are seeing several others come first it seems. I want to use a Russ model and all, but I want to know what shenanigans he has been up to more then anything I think. Like will he be bringing his special brew he made back with him? Did he accidentally kill the inquisitor when he punched him in the face? questions must be answered.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the Lion though. The time for him to come came and went. Now it'll be shoehorning.

Vulture, Marauder Destroyer, Hellhammer

Twin linked punisher cannons on a Vulture were pretty filthy. 2 Punisher cannons on a Vulture is actually taking the proverbial, so they'd better change it ;\

The Marauder Destroyer is a truly magnificent model with the most weaksauce rules; if they suddenly doubled its attack capability and made hellstrike missiles worth the plastic, that would be nice :\

The Hellhammer/Stormsword is my go-to superheavy so i'm hoping they're still viable at least.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

I personnaly think that Oblitarator are still pretty good. Since all units have a toughness and that you will hardly find a unit with more than toughness 8 considering that's what Land Raiders have, their guns will always be able to make some damage. They are pretty good unit one paper. The only thing we need to know is how good they will be next to other units of that type (and if htey will get new models because those right now aren't all that great).
