Does anyone have recommendations for books with Orks in them?

Preferably ones that treat them as proper characters rather than just mindless enemies to shoot at.

I've been looking at 'Baneblade' and 'Annihilation Squad'. Has anyone got any opinions on them?

Cheers

Haha! I don't see any of the warhammer books winning the Man-Booker prize any time soon, so I always go into them expecting a fairly low brow but enjoyable read.

Is there anything particular about this book that you didn't like or is it a diffused sense of hatred for early era Gavin Thorpe?

Thanks for the recommendation! I'm not massively keen on comics as you pay a lot for the pictures and don't get much text or story but I might give it a try.
I can't imagine Korky the Cat or Roy of the Rovers being very good at piloting a Dakkajet though!

Gav got much better even he'll agree the last chancer books are bad if you ask him.

Very few writers hit it out of the park first time.
