Been Around the Block

I need to buy more warriors. Blocks of 20 are going to be vicious with those Reanimation Protocols and -1AP, especially with some Crypteks lurking behind them
I'm interested to see how the new Monolith deepstrike pans out. 12" away from enemies doesn't seem too tricky, but the model has a big footprint. It'll probably be a lot of fun to slam down in no man's land and start spewing Warriors out of it, but I don't think it'll be going behind enemy lines any time soon.

I'm kinda glad that my destroyer cult will still be legal. Destroyer Cults was one of the armies I've wanted for a long time and I'm glad that now that I finally have it, it won't be invalidated by 7E.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

The description makes them sound OP to me.
Necrons have always been high on the power chart. I fear things haven't changed. But we'll see

*snort* Not really. Necrons have only recently been high on the power chart (speaking relatively). 3rd Edition had them tough, but that was easily exploitable in one of two ways (once you figured them out). They either had little mobility, so you could engage where you chose; or they were mobile, but easily Phased Out. Their options were powerful, but very very limited.
5th was the first time that people actually had to face them without most of those exploits. They had toughness and mobility without the built-in danger of Phase Out. Their low Initiative meant Sweeping them was still the easiest way to get rid of them, and the biggest factor of their toughness was not immune to being Swept.
7th Edition is where that toughness lost its biggest weakness. When WBB/ RP was converted from an End of Phase process to neo- FNP it lost its weakness to being Swept (becoming a resistance to even be swept), received bonuses to it from Crypteks AND their brand new detachment, and became available to units which had never had access to it before (Canoptek Harvest). Beyond that, most of the point costs dropped down tremendously in some cases.
But I can tell you this new RP will discourage MSU on the Necrons part, and the high T/W Vehicles are going to be a bugbear to kill at all.

I have access to their index, PM me if you want to see. They're incredibly tough, very "chewy" in a sense that you need to concentrate on one unit at a time to take them out. Quantum shielding lets you block high damage attacks fairly easily, so the solution is to kill cron vehicles with many low damage attacks, and kill their infantry units one at a time. I dare say that strategy is required to defeat them.

anyone have points costs? because if warriors don't cost equal to a terminator each they're going to be OP as hell with this new version of reanimation.

From the sound of things, everything I own will still be good. Still waiting to see rules for the Tesseract Vault. Next major addition I have planned for my Dynasty. That and a few more vehicles.
