my favorite models are Chaos Spawns. Unfortunately they cost the same at 33pts as they did in 7th ed Chaos Marine codex.

What i am griping about is there are no Renegade and heretic spawns that cost 18pts due to lazy copy paste. I am crossing my finger that Forge world would be lazy and copy paste their points as 18ppm for 8th ed.

i used to be able to field 36 of these spawns for roughly 648pts leaving me with enough points to field a proper army. Now it costs 1188pts to field the same 36 spawns. Oh poor old me.. lmao.

They were never ment to be 18pts and only ment to be a max of 4 elite slots unlocked by specific devotion and hq configuration.

But here is hoping the FW index makes them 18pts and spamable thanks to the vanguard detachment.

I miss my nurgle spawn, but due to changes in wounding they would have still been wounded on 5s instead of 6s. They're also slower now, but tougher and better in CC overall.

Spawn are the one change I think was alright.

Its not like I bought 2 wraith knights and mounted them on 2 vypers and complain that I cant have them 2 WKs for 700pts compared to 1400pts.

Spawn are actually really cool this edition, at least from what I've seen. They actually have a /save/ now! And they have a fear-bubble that lowers enemy leadership (Which is a big deal due to how morale works now). They still get random attacks, but they hit as hard as space marines with Power Axes, and their random mutation things are actually /really scary/.

I don't care if they're still 33pts a model, they're actually worth taking now.
