Hello, it's my birthday and people are asking me what they should buy me. I want necrons for 8th edition but since the rules aren't out yet it's difficult for me to tell people what to buy. I also haven't played 40k since 4/5th ed.

I used to run the following list:

2 squads of warriors
1 lord w/ resurrection orb and shadow cloak with teleportation artifact (forgot the name)
2 squads of scarabs
1 night bringer
1 monolith.

My old tactics were straight forward but effective: I would run the nightbringer into the back field to deal with troublesome heroes and monsters (this was back when the nightbringer was broken powerful), I would rush the scarabs up to harass the front lines of my enemy, then use my lord and monolith to teleport my warriors where I needed them and then use "We'll be back" + Resurrection Orb + Monolith Resurrection to ensure my troops never died, and I would abuse the old "Gauss Flayer" rules to bust anything on a 6 with a basic firearm (I would target land raiders and the like first).

I would like to play a similar play style, based on 7th ed (which I didn't really play) what list would you recommend I run to keep my play style similar to what I was used to? (Focused on Teleportation/Resurrection/Save Bypassing)
I'd like to own a solid 2000 pts (I've since lost my monolith and nightbringer to storage fauxpas after years of not playing and moving a few times).
