With the changes to the rules, what sort of things have you noticed your army can do that look fun to pull off?

One for me is I can't wait to assault a flyer with my Blood Angels Assault Marines. Frickin' Jump Pack Dragon Punch FTW! For my Crimson Fists, it is my It Will Not Die Rhino Primaris. Heal a wound on a 6 and Servo Skull heal a wound once per turn. And on the last turn, I am totally going to Overcharge the Twin Plasma Gun and potentially blow my Primaris up spectacularly.

I can't wait to face a Tau gunline with a fully-mechanised Harlequin list and watch their mounting frustration as their guns only hit my stuff on a 5+ in the shooting phase.

Actually be able to build my Ordo Xenos force like I always wanted. Some Kastellans, some Deathwatch bikers, an Imperial Knight, a bunch of various inquistorial things (Inquisitor, acolytes, priest, etc.) in a Land Raider, backed up by Storm Talons as air support. A real mish mash of things all requisitioned by an Inquisitor!

I am SO glad all the desks around me are empty right now, because I just busted up at this. Were I able to exalt this more than once, you would have all I could give. Bravo!

OT -

I am only going to do it once, cuz it's cheeky as feth, and prohibitively expensive, but I want to run 3 Broadsides all with HYMP's, SMS's and 2 Shielded Missile Drones for 52 shots from ONE unit. Because feth whatever unit I'm shooting at.

(Disclaimer- I haven't played 40k for 17 years, since second or third edition I think. But I Wanna get started again. So I haven't clue what I'm doing! Brought a load of space Wolves last Christmas, and now I'm putting them together as fast as I can.)

I want to send a massive fenrisian wolf screen with thunder wolf cavalry charging up the field and then one turn rear-charge with blood claw assault troops, which now apparently can turn up from the other side of the board.

Potentially 7 attacks per ork boy.... thats 406 attacks plus PK attacks from nobs, plus Ghaz.....

I can't wait to play Deathwing and actually have a chance of winning.
I can't wait to play Tau tanks and have them work well.
I can't wait to run Daemons and CSM units in the same army and have it be good (let's face it, the current KDK book is not really competitive even if it is fun).

I can't wait to crack open that Dark Imperium box I preordered in 2 weeks and start assembling and painting those awesome models!

Things I can't wait to do with my army... in 8th...
Kill a cr@p tonne of these stupid Primaris marines with my old marines
Kill a cr@p tonne of these stupid Primaris marines with my still metal sisters of battle
Repeatedly destroy these Primaris marine Repulsive grav tanks with all the anti-armour weaponry I've got

Because let's be honest Primaris marines will be everywhere by the end of the month.

And just for information no it's not just Primaris I have a problem with, I still don't use grav weapons or Centurions in my SM army as it was another previously poor shoehorn into the fluff just as these abominations are.

That being said I'm really looking forward to some of the new aspects of the rules (although with the amount of dumbing down that's gone on it's looking increasingly like 8th is written with pre-teen minds as a target).

Have my scions not cost more than a space marine.

Not have to put wings on my nurgle daemon princes (cus they have an 8" move and can advance now)

blow vehicles up (seriously, I hate AV. I could tell stories...)

Use my wraithknight without feeling bad about it (hopefully)
