So khorne daemonkin is dead and on the Chaos codex it says there are 5 sections, traitor marines and then the 4 god related stuff, does that mean its just chaos, chaos daemons then, chaos/daemons god relations without combinations?
In general if that doesnt make sense does anyone what the hell is going on with chaos?

Chaos is one faction. As are heretic astartes. And daemons.

But khorne is also a faction.

I imagine in future, there will be detachment that give different bonuses depending on faction

Aight thanks! Im not sure I understand about the khorne marine/daemon bit but I guess i'll gind out once the codex and rules have been gotten by me.

Chaos is one big faction now. Any unit with the Chaos Keyword can be included in a detachment together. Eg Kharn the Betrayer can lead a detachment of Daemonnettes and Beasts of Nurgle.

It's important to note that these Index books are a stopgap measure to keep you playing right from the start of 8th Edition. The same thing happened when the game transitioned from 2nd into 3rd, although the lists given at the start of 3rd were far more barebones and simplified than what we're getting now.

You should be able to build your army with Index: Chaos, although the way it functions may change somewhat. I see this as a time to experiment and play with new things or models that have been sitting in storage.

Khorne Daemonkin is totally still a thing.

You can take all Khorne Daemons with all Chaos Space Marine units.

Want a Soulgrinder and a Defiler? Go ahead.
Want a Bloodthirster leading Berzerkers? Go ahead.
Want a Biker unit and Flesh Hounds? No problem.
A Chaos Marine Lord of Juggernaut with a bunch of Blood Crushers? Feel free.

If anything a pure khorne list probably works better in 8e than demonkin did. Loss of flavor with blood tithes, but you can freely mix khorne csm and demons. Plus you don't have a tax on shooty units that don't plan to get into combat. Also beserkers are good again. Like really good.

Oh, and you can summon demons without a psyker by default, rather than needing special rule (bloodtithes) to do it. Which is also nice.

You can also take Kharne with your CSM/Khrone deamons army now
