Why on Earth are renegades not included in Index Chaos - the spiritual successor to IA:13? Now they are in Index Astramili..whatever.

Because the astra miliatrum index is basically siege of vraks, which included the original heretic list. IA13 was more of csm thing with some options shared with daemons.
Would have preferred if they just made one book for chaos, but I can see why they did it.

Good point, at least I get rules for DKoK as well. Plus both books only cost the same as a 7th codex so rant over I guess.

Given the contents posted for the chaos index, I think heretics will get access to basically every imperial vehicle now. It makes sense to put them all in one book and share the dataslates between imperial/heretic rather than duplicating them all into another index.
Yeah, it's a pain that we gotta buy two books (at least they're pretty cheap), but it's totally understandable why it's like that.

They always used to, so I don't see why they wouldn't. Seeing as the army lists look to be in the same book I can easily see a reference to the unit to the army list with "see page xx ".

Just as the Vraks books referenced the codex imperial guard and imperial armour 1.

It would be a good reason as to why they are included in the AM book. Good move imo
