I remember hearing that the more focused your factions are, the better the buffs will be. Where are these? Will we have to wait for the respective codexes to get these buffs?
For example...I have Aeldari - Asuryani - Iyanden for my forces, so it was rumoured that I'd get better buffs than if I just took some biel tan, some Ulthwe, some Iyanden, etc. What am I missing?

Okay, so this is how it works...
Instead of there existing 1 rule for Deep Strike
There are now like 5 rules for Deep Strike, that all do the EXACTLY THE SAME THING... but have a different name.
"faction focus"!

I'm guessing they'll add something like unique Stategems if you stick to a Chapter/Craftworld/Regiment/etc , or access to additional wargear (like Relics). But right now that's not in the game.
I'm still wondering whether or not "Imperium" as a faction means that I can just slap ANYTHING from within the two imperial indexes together and still have a valid detachment which gives me Command Points, like "1 SM Captain, Celestine as HQ and 1 AM Veteran Squad plus 2 Grey Knight Strike Squads as Troops" - seems kinda crazy. the various "Deep Strike"-like descriptions are just fluff, but they all come with the same rule effects. Chapter / Craftworld etc doesn't do anything though.

The more focused your faction is, the more command points you should be able to use, I believe...

Most character bonuses to units are very limited on who they effect. A Space Marine Captain only enhances Chapter faction units, not Adeptus Astartes or Imperium units.

They may have been referencing character bonuses that only apply to specific keywords. Mixing up your army means you won't be as efficient at piling on those buffs.
Eldar mostly buff any other Eldar, so there's not much harm in mixing them from what I can see. An Autarch only buffs his own craftworld, but Farseers can spread around their powers.

Farseers, Warlocks, Prince Yriel, Autarchs, Spiritseers, and the Avatar all care about these keywords. Their ability to buff your units depends on your other units having certain keywords. If you had Biel-Tan units alongside Iyanden units then Prince Yriel, your Autarchs, and your Spiritseers wouldn't necessarily be able to buff everything that they otherwise could. If you wanted you could make all of your units Ynnari as well and then they'd interact with each other even more.

In short, that was largely speculative. It mostly just makes layering buffs with characters easier, as the more keywords in common the more likely any given unit will be to benefit from a character's buff.
