WARNING.... Calculated points wrong for TWC and Stormwolf as pointed out below so I'm 109 points over!

Loving what I've learnt of 8th so far, below is a first mess about list for a 2000 point experiment game..... and probably the basis for a while.

Please correct me on points if I've got it wrong (it's been known to happen before).

HQ (3)
Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf (Sorm Shield, Wolf Claw) = 128 + 15 + 9 = 152
Wolf Priest (Bolt Pistol) = 90 + 0 = 90
Rune Priest (Runic Armour, Plasma Pistol, Runic Axe) = 68 + 7 + 7 + 16 = 98

Troops (3)
10 Grey Hunters (Banner, 2 Plasma, power sword) = 10(14) + 10 + 2(13) + 4 = 180
10 Grey Hunters (Banner, 2 Plasma, power sword) = 10(14) + 10 + 2(13) + 4 = 180
10 Grey Hunters (Banner, 2 Melta, Power Fist) = 10(14) + 10 + 2(17) + 20 = 204

Fast (1)
3 Cavalry (3 Storm Shields, Power Fist) = 3(45) + 3(5) + 20 = 170

Heavy (3)
5 LongFangs (4 Missiles) = 5(15) + 4(25) = 175
5 LongFangs (4 Missiles) = 5(15) + 4(25) = 175
Vindicator (Storm Bolter) = 160 + 2 = 162

Plasma hunters go in Rhinos, Melta Hunters and Priests go in StormWolf

Storm shields for TWC are 15 points not 5. Sad but true. I think the basis of the list looks pretty good though. Lots of flexibility.

Oh, I thought it was 15 for a character and 5 for anyone else? Thought this seemed a bit generous!

Just double checked, Storm Shields are 15 points (character) or 5 points (Other Models)..... TWC aren't characters therefore it's 5 pts a pop for storm shields...... I think, still seems very cheap though, but I'm not complaining.

I'm pretty site I saw it say 15 for thunderwolf shields. I'm not sure where though. I'll check

Yup its listed in the point value section under other wargear.

Nope, they are 15 points. You are looking under Space Marines Points when it's under Space Wolves Points for TWC.

Looks pretty competitive!

No problem. I made the same mistake initially.

On the Stormwolf: Don't we need to spend points on every weapon it carries? Thus it'd cost 353 points for the full kit with two twin multimeltas?

Base Stormwolf (165) + twin helfrost cannon (30) + 2x lascannon (50) +2x twin multimelta (108)

Or am I mistaken?
