I've seen people saying that the Deathwatch are bad. And in the current meta of cheap Eldar, re-rollable 2++ saves and Marine formations they are. But if you look at the job they're meant to do they do it well. They have really easy access to a variety of AP4 weaponry. Most Xenos have 4+ armor saves. They have AP3 rounds standard for things like Crisis Suits, Combi Plasmas and Meltas for the rare 2+ save. Dreadnoughts and Corvus Blackstars can handle most vehicles. They've got shotguns, frag cannons and infernus heavy bolters for clearing hordes. All in all, they're not half bad if you're using them against the right things.

the problem is that they
re expensive for what they are. 1 wound T4 3+ models are just a little fragile on the game boards of today.

I'm of the opinion that they may be better in 8th as heavy armor peircing guns are gonna likely be rarer.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
