Im not a big fan of GWs own Chimera desing so decided to try to make something more pleasing for me. Base is Tamiya Marder 1A2 1/35 scale. It was way too long and had to chop it up a bit. This my progress so far.
Comments and critique is welcome.

I like it. I'm not entirely sure what those things on the side are though. Sandbags? Particulary the ones on the left side, they're all wrinkly, and the picture quality doesn't help either.

Thanks! I think they are supposed to be camonetting and bags containing supplies and stuff. Also only have my phone and no sunlight (finnish summer...)

Great job, the chop job totally makes it work as 40k!!
Edit; any plans to pop a heavy bolter or something somewhere? maybe find a small one to be put on a pintle mount?

I really like it! Fits right in with the whole IG aesthetic.

It's a cool piece, I might start looking in the Tamiya range for kit bashing parts, what are the bundles on the opposite side to the bags?
|
I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go. |

I saw this when you posted it on /tg/. It has come a long way since then! It's looking pretty good.
The bundle that people are asking about is a rolled up camo net, I believe.

Yes the bundled stuff are (supposedly) camonetting.

Im thinking of either adding bolter OR flamer, havent decided yet which.

Tbh Im suprised it came out this good in the end. Still got long ways to go before im able field it tabletop.
I wanted have just a little bit of more modern feel to it and I think ot does that well enough. Will post more pictures when back from vacation.
At least the next one I'll make will be much faster and easier to do. Hopefully.

Looks cool. I like the stowed gear on the sides.

Thank you!
So I finished this bad boy this morning. Well at least all the vital parts. Might add something, dont know what tho. It is 12×10×7 cm in dimensions so slightly bigger than normal chimera but not much.
