I haven't had a chance to do more than a quick browse through of the Imperium Astartes index my FLGS owner got in, but it looked liked all the general vehicles were left keyworded in such a way specialist chapters would get access. I wouldn't mind having the fun of Sternguard, Centurions, Stalkers, Storm Ravens. More toys is always great and key words could make it where specialist chapters don't lose out when vanilla marines get new toys.

The vehicles are not keyworded but BAs and SWs both have a list of units they can take from the vanilla SM list. This means they still have no access to Centurions, Storm Talons etc.

However this is not a big problem anymore as you can still include these vehicles in your Detachments since they share the "Imperium" and "Adeptus Astartes" keywords. All units in a Detachment must share at least 1 keyword but do not have to match 100%. All this means is that any Centurions you include would lack the "Blood Angel" keyword meaning that they would not benefit from certain rerolls that characters can grant.

I am actually looking forward to being able to run my Leman Russ Exterminator with my Space Wolves again since it shares the "Imperium" keyword.

Wow, using imperium key would really open things up to buying a few side toys for rule of cool. I haven't been able to check, does sharing a keyword allow the use of a transport? I'm wanting to know if I can use a storm raven for dark angels.

I believe you can transport them in a stormraven; Imperium keyword is crucial.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

I hate that thr special chapters domt get access to everything, but I giess it makes sense cause they get some special units and from a fluff standpoint

To be honest, you get equivalents across the board and in some cases more.

You have it nowhere near as bad on your 'list' as Death Guard or Thousand Sons players have it in the Chaos side at the moment.

Now only a CSM player.

That's what they get for rebelling against the Emperor. Imbalance.

not always true, Dark Angels for example lack a flying transport. but yes, for the most part they have equivilants. and yeah the chaos sub factions right now are in a much worse place. hopefully one day 1k sons and Death Guard will be on the same footing as the space marine subfactions

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I collect Chaos too. I feel the same pain as you guys do on that front.

As far as special chapters lacking things, Dark Angels suffer from a lack of flying transports and anti air. I know I could just ally in, but I like playing straight Greenwings (5th company) if I can.

Has anyone heard anything about the Forgeworld dropod for dreadnoughts being useable? I am interested in landing my space wolf venerables with axes and shields in someones face.

Well they've still not replaced the duff mold but the dreadnought dropod is listed as having an entry in imperial armour.

So I think your good.

I don't think so, as long as they share at least 1 Keyword, they are good.

Of course they will not benefit from <Chapter> bubble abilties but you may consider that a fair price for filling what would previously have been a hole in your capabilities.

I will be running some "Red Marine" Storm Talons with my Blood Angels since it seems daft that the most aerially-orientated chapter in the galaxy doesn't have access to a fast gunship.
