I placed some orders recently with both Docs_Games_Store and Frontline Gaming. Both are known for (or at least were known for) being fairly easy on the wallet but not the fastest in the world in terms of order fulfillment. While Frontline has sent me some of the stuff I've ordered, Docs has not. In fact, I've yet to get a reply from Docs to any of my emails.

Has anyone on Dakka delt with these guys before? How often do orders fall through the cracks and is there any reliable way to contact them and get a response (looking at you, Docs)?

Hm. I missed the thread about Docs. However, looking through that it seems their advice is to just open disputes. I can certainly do that however, I'm more interested in getting what I paid for as I can't get it at that price any more. Also, my issue isn't limited to just Docs. :(

Edit. Well, I went ahead and opened a dispute on PayPal with Docs. We'll see what happens with that. That still leaves Frontline.

it may well be that they can't get (the retailers version of) that price any more either,

hence slow service as they sell other stuff to accumulate the extra money to pay the new higher prices

(and while it might seem they should be able to pay the probably small amount extra for your stuff if they've had problems with something like a GW product launch and have had 100s of orders effected that adds up fast especially for somewhere running on really small margins)

I'd give them up until just before your paypal (?) protection runs out then give up and make a claim

as beyond that point you're easier to ignore and if they've got real business problems there will be other customers who are within the claim period they'll end up sorting out before you simply to keep their business running

I had one good result from Doc's, and one bad. The bad one was resolved, but it took over a month and repeated emails (admittedly Dan replied, albeit slowly). With the change in their pricing structure I won't go back to them in the future.

GW's new discount policy went into effect after I placed my order and wouldn't affect Docs wholesale price anyway.
