Since you only get 1 per commander sprue and there the new weapon for tau for 8th, just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what i could kitbash together to make lookalikes, need about 8-10 of these and prefer to use for GW tournaments.

I'd probably start with a Fusion Blaster and cut off the round barrel at the end, then carefully try to round off the top of the square barrel with all the vents. Fill in any remaining vents with green stuff and make the 'new' business end out of card (a Y shaped card with an arched square opening and two rounded flanges). Put short round pieces on the back of the card and some standard barrels on the front and you're probably close enough.
