So, I got a look at the indexes today.

Chaos Space Marine Demon Prince: MUST take a mark, if Slaanesh, Tzeetch or Nurgle, can take a power from the basic list of three, NOT the god specific ones. So, no undivided Princes now, and marked princes can't have the marked power.

Chaos DEMONS Demon Prince: Can not take basic powers, MUST take a marked power.

Not sure what you were expecting? There are no undivided princes in 7th either, other than belakor of course. No access to god specific tables is pretty stupid indeed, but we knew that already.

There hasn't been an undivided prince since

*puts on nerd glasses*

*mumble mumble mumble*

6th edition. Actually if you wanna get technically, there hasn't been one since 3.5 edition. In 4th you could have an unmarked prince but that was about it.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Isn't Bel'akor the only undivided daemon prince in 40k? After him, the Gods decided that it wasn't worh it. No?

There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Well, I chalked up 6th as an alcohol induced stupor that didn't happen.

I chalked up 7th as a nightmare that reality is trying to forget.

All told, I have a Slaaensh army taking the dust off, and I have a demon Prince with long legs, who lost "fast", which is okay, but now lost his Slaanesh powers as well.

I haven't looked through the Chaos stuff yet, does Bel'kar have a datasheet/rules? If so, how is he?

Be'lakor has rules. Not sure how he is though. Having undivided Daemon Princes would have been a nice touch. They could represent Daemon Princes of lesser deities, such as Malice. If everyone has to receive sponsorship by one of the big 4 then we may see some really horrible fluff for Lorgar, Perturabo, and other Undivided princes.

I'm in love with be'lakor. He packs a good number of good attacks(6) at a good profile(S7 ap-5 D3), is highly mobile at 14" move, cast/denies two spells (knows the csm spells), and best of all has 8 wounds so he's not super weak and sneaks in under 10 so can't be targeted. All that comes at 110 points cheaper than he was last edition (240 now!!). So far I've played 5 games of daemons and he's been my warlord 4 of them(used kairos for first game, big mistake to make a greater daemon the warlord). He has been absolutely amazing for me so far and I highly recommend trying him out.

Not to mention free move spell csm have used on a bloodthirster for a 24" first turn move and most likely charge is a huge opener.

Oh! And he has a 4++(invul) and re rolls failed saves.

Who is Malice?

H.B.M.C.- The end hath come! From now on armies will only consist of Astorath, Land Speeder Storms and Soul Grinders!
War Kitten- Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...
koooaei- Emperor: I envy your nipplehorns. <Magnus goes red. Permanently>
Neronoxx- If our Dreadnought doesn't have sick scuplted abs, we riot.
Frazzled- I don't generally call anyone by a term other than "sir" "maam" "youn g lady" "young man" or " HEY bag!"
Ruin- It's official, we've ran out of things to talk about on Dakka. Close the site. We're done.
mrhappyface- "They're more what you'd call guidlines than actual rules" - Captain Roboute Barbosa
Steve steveson- To be clear, I'd sell you all out for a bottle of scotch and a mid priced hooker.

Can only cast warp speed on CSM units, doesn't work on bloodthirsters sadly :(

Can we consider Daemon Primarchs ... Daemon Princes? They are something more. Plus, they are all Gary Stu, so is obvious that the normal rules for the universe don't apply to them
