Hey guys,
Firstly the paintjob isnt finished, but the white accent on the helmet and the Leg and shoulder pad just isnt working and so painting has ground to a halt. To me it looks unfinished.



I just think that theres not enough contrast to have white on yellow?

help me out here guys im not sure what to do, and he'll probably never get finished if i dont conquer this hurdle.

How about silver? I thought that might look cool.

That's actually a good shout, i was only thinking red/blue but im not sure that would have looked that good.

I think the issue is the use of black. That makes it look an awful lot like one half (or two quarters) of the miniature have yet to be painted. Black is also a bitch to do well/right (lots of highlighting etc.). For a third colour, how about the base? Find a suitable colour which will make the other two pop (a good reddish dirt might work - not full on Mars, but nice burnt sienna look). For the pop on the model, consider a bright electric blue for the eye lenses - a colour which should stand out from both black and yellow nicely.

yea i think i would agree with that, I havent done any highlighting on the black. blue eyes would look really good, i like that suggestion.
