They're your models, unless your opponent's an ass nobody's going to tell you that you can't play your models a certain way if they're not painted correctly.

That said if you're looking for lore consistency with your models, then I would think they could be your own custom warband of nurgle marines, and they can be painted however you like and still make sense.

You could also do what I do, paint them up in different warbands depending on where they're from and just use them together.

For example all of my vehicles are painted up Iron Warrior style, on the rationale that they're all being "rented" by the warband from the local Warsmith.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Keeping the colors but changing the proportions might help (i.e. your khorne are primary gold, red accents, your nurgle are Red and possibly bloody-drippy, with the nurgle marks picked out in gold), or using the same primary (red) but different secondaries (gold vs. say, black, or shining gold vs. a verdigris gold). Another option, assuming I understand what you're trying (to make different squads from different gods fit together cohesively in an army) would be to paint them up using similar techniques, just in a different scheme, and then using matching basing.

Run them with whatever scheme you want as long as the whole WYSIWYG still flies for the wargear.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.
