Horrific Howling Banshee

Charleston, South Carolina

I play Eldar and I can barely contain my glee that my quick minded brethren can hop from our Wave Serpents and dash into melee!

I've tried putting 5 Dire Avengers and Exarch with 5 Banshees with Exarch and had huge success. (in 4 games)

The great thing is that you can effectively attach Warlocks to any squad by placing them together in our terrific 12 seat transports.

I'm looking forward to trying an Autarch similarly. I might put two groups of Banshees in one transport and jump to two targets.

Even better are my Wraithblades charging into melee with 4 swings each, my Farseer and Warlock trailing behind Dooming/Enhancing etc.

I'd love to hear other ideas from Eldar players and those of lesser birth as well.

I've seen multiple Wave Serpents carrying Wraithguard be used to great effect. Disembark plus move plus assault plus the 8" range gives that unit a lot of range.

With my DE, I'm of the opposite mindset. My melee units are already bad enough, and now I'm not even allowed to move their transports before I disembark them. No thanks.

My plan is gunboats all the way. I intend to use ranged squads and not disembark unless I absolutely have to.

Yeah, when i read the small novel that is the Death Guard unit options and think about resolving the attacks from a melee-oriented min size death guard squad, the thing that springs to mind is "Accessible!"

You should be fine regardless... 14" move on turn 1, on turn 2 you disembark 3", move your 7", then still have a charge (with power from pain you can reroll too). The threat range for melee is still there. And remember you can assault with vehicles too for some added pain and overwatch soakage (ours aren't too bad in melee either).

I have 5 trukks and i'll barely need 2. Probably one. I'll have to remodel 1-2 to become battlewagons. But need to wait and see what forgeworld brings. Gun wagonz, trakks, gun trukks - all have a potential of being good. Also, considering forgeworld tends to create overpowered rules, it might be the way to go

Bullgryn in Valkyries sound awesome. Go into hover mode, move just less than 20" they grav chute out near the end of the move, move and charge with mauls!

My SW have 3 pods and a stormwolf, I really don't know how to use them now. DE have 3 ravagers which I can use, a couple of raiders that are needed but too many venoms, 5 of them, and I will probably need max 3 of them. With orks I'm fine, transports are never enough and I can play apocalypse with them.

Some of those vehicles are probably redundant but having more is certainly better than not having enough. Glad that this edition doesn't require a huge investiment in new miniatures.
