I based this list mostly on what I had available model-wise, since the last thing I want to do right now is buy anything from the current CSM miniature range, since I already have plenty enough of that sitting in my parent's garage in another country. I want to do a list with my Betrayal at Calth and Burning of Prospero minis, since I used to have a Word Bearers Legion detachment in production for the Horus Heresy. Right now, I figure I would try to make something for the time being out of the word bearer MK IV's and MKIII I have, as well as Tartaros and Cataphractii terminators along with the HQ being the very fluffy Dark Apostle.

The strategy is pretty simple. Havocs provide ranged heavy support, targeting hard targets with Krak missiles and soft targets with heavy bolters and frag missiles, while the bolter boys and if necessary heavy bolter marines provide ablative wounds. The Chosen will rush up with the Dark Apostle, and can play defensively against things that are better at close combat, or try to assault things that aren't so good at it. I kept them loaded up with assault weapons to make them more mobile and capable of advancing and shooting. The pair of melta shots and pair of flamers are there to round them off against heavy infantry, massed infantry and heavy vehicles. The terminators will deepstrike, fire off whatever weapons they have and assault the nearest thing with their Icon of Wrath.

Does it seem pretty solid with my goals in mind of just making a word bearers force out of what I currently had on hand? Is there anything you would have done differently?

No armour at all at 1500pts? Seems like a missed opportunity with vehicles being stronger in 8th?

41 power armoured bodies and 10 terminators should have some decent board control? No real criticisms to speak of?

Just until my other stuff to include bikes raptors and land raider and other terminators arrive from my parents.

Love the list, I myself am building a Word Bearers army also. I would say, find a way to get a lord in. The ability to re-roll 1's for 2-3 units you can surround him with seems really good in an addition with this set of rules caliber.
