So I'm really confused about seeing people talking about games they've played and some youtube channels and podcasts talking about their reactions to 8th. Are the rules out? Or are some people given early copies to help promote the new edition?

I think enough stores had promo copies that gamers took photos and such on the net and pretty much most everything is there to get a pretty good feel of the new edition

Warhammer Community has been feeding rules every day or so and if you look up specific units you should be able to find the profiles for them.

yea, gw is digital copies pulled off google drive as fast as they get posted but say you have oen you download it then reload to your private drive to share with a few friends it will go under the radar. when you find it download it. additionally as stated a lot of stores got promo copies. my flgs did 9though we all had the rules over a week before the store copy was there with all the indexes.

Honestly, stores that ordered at least 20 copies at this point should all have a demo copy of the books. Go down to your local FLGS and read through them. They will be available for purchase on Saturday.
