I have some questions / fact check about 8th edition Genestealers cults:
1)Shouldn't the cult ambush roll of 6 allow shooting like the roll of 5? Particularly Neophyte Hybrids are stronger if they can fire instead of moving with a roll of 6, having a roll of 5 as the strongest roll for them.
2)The Magus have a miss typed Patriarch in the Familiars description?
3)The hand flamer isn't a little bit too expensive for 8 points? Considering the 3 point web pistol too
4)Are cult icons points free?
5)The heavy rock cutter is a stronger version of the heavy rock saw (have an additional special rule), but it cost 1 point less, they should adjust the points there.
6)Hybrid Metamorphs have a metamorph talon equipped as default, they can replace the rending claw for a second metamorph talon, having 2 metamorph talon total. What's the benefit of doing so? It's 5 points to lose the rendering claw.
7)Purestrain genestealers can be loaded on trucks?
8)Heavy mining laser are more expensive than lasercannon? Weird, I guess is to balance the Neophytes, 2 for one lasercannon but only one for the heavy mining laser, but what about the Goliath Rockgrinder?

1. The Unit that arrives via 6 get a free movement as soon as they are placed as it is still the movement phase, they can shoot in the shooting as per normal. while a 5 result you can shoot or get a d6" move, then can shoot normally in the shooting phase. And no, you shouldn't get a free shot as well on a 6.. would be broken

2. Yes I would say it is a miss type, and take the reference of Patriarch as Magus.. otherwise could be some funny shenanigans (who ever was writing got lazy with copy paste)

3. hand flamer hits automatically, and can be spammed within the more CC focused units of the army (i.e. Acolytes).. the web pistol can only be taken by a few models, that are more ranged focused (i.e. Neophytes) costed appropriately

4. At this stage yes they are.. there is no reason to not have one (other than lacking the model)

5. They really should.. Rock Cutter, is by far the strongest option.. I feel this may of just been a result of general 'rebalancing' that happened as previously it was the weakest option

6. That is True, and there is no benefit.. just a BL for people using points and need to be WYSIWYG

8. The 5pt difference is fine, when you factor what they are going on.. a Squad of Neophytes can have 2 mining lasers, or 1 lascannon

purestrain genestealer entry has stats for talons and claws, but it only says "each purestrain genestealer is armed with rending claws."
It doesn't mention having claws or any way to take them. So why have the stats for them there? Must be a typo.

At the top of the datasheet

"Each Purestrain Genestealer is armed with Rending Claws"

Mid way down the datasheet under Wargear Options

"Any model may also take Purestrain talons"
