So I'm heavily thinking about starting a fallen army for 8th and I'm not sure how I'd run them properly. I asked in a different section how other people would make a fallen army and they said to basically run the bulk of it under dark angels. So how would you guys build and play fallen in 8th?

Tactically it’s tricky in that you don’t have tons of options (just two!), but the fallen unit themselves are decent. You’re going to have to look at units other than the fallen themselves.

You have to decide whether to go with Chaos or Imperial for your other stuff. I think there’s a case of going Imperial, for units other than the fallen themselves. If you’re looking to be true to the fluff then you could use stuff like Cataphractii and Tartaros Terminators, and contemptor dreads. These all seem like decent units. You might also use vanguard veterans and company command squads on bikes to represent more of your guys. You could use vehicles and normal dreadnoughts pretty freely, too.

Spamming plasma seems like something you’d want to do. It’s both thematic and really good. Just make sure that you’ve got people around who let you reroll 1s.

We haven’t yet seen the FW index book. When we do, I imagine you’ll have some interesting pre-heresy options to add.

To actually make your guys I’d suggest going with the Mkiii guys out of burning of prospero, with the FW dark angel heresy heads. FW will also sell you a pack of 10 plasma guns, which are sure to come in useful!

The main issue I have is I have to foot slog them across the table and don't want them to get shot to pieces before they can do anything. I was leaning mite towards using the loyalist stuff because I feel like they have better options.
