What do you guys think of this list? Competitive? Any changes you would make?

The idea is no completely overwhelm the opponent in fast melee units. The biovores are just for backfield objectives.

the list can work fine, just suggest you, if you can find a place for some antitank fite, like hive guards, and remember biovores with no synapse shoot at closest unit, not a big deal.

Also worth mentioning the swarmlord is going to eat every high strength shot from your opponent's list. Nothing else here that they can target is worth being shot at but swarmlord needs 6" range for his extra move buff.

They will have to deal with the trygon turn 1, so i think he'll drop first. The swarmlord should be able to keep up. The more high strength weapons they have the better for me really.

Doesnt look bad I'm thinking of something very similar. You might consider swapping a broodlord and a couple of Gaunts for another Trygon though. Really get that threat overload/target saturation thing going.

Looks good. Though you have 3 HQ's and 3 Heavy supports. You could split this into a Batallion and Spearhead for one extra command point.

And as others have mentioned, I would propably slap in one other big monster so your opponent couldn't just focus fire everything on the Swarmlord / Trygon.

Looks like a fun list! But...I agree that you'll be happier if you babysit your Biovores. I would trim enough for a Warrior Brood, two "vanilla" and a Cannon...dirt cheap, can soot long with the Cannon, and they are plenty tough in CC.

The will of the hive is always the same: HUNGER

I agree, the biovores are just for holding backfield objectives. This is why i love genestealers, With 2 broodlords they'll probably get the 2+ to hit, they wound on 6 against toughness 8 and above, but those will be -3 armor. I had a unit of genestealers take down 9 wounds on monolith in one round, so there should be no lack of anti tank in this list.

I'm no gonna dedicate anything to babysit 50 pts of biovores.

Warrior brood is an idea though. I'd probably max out the unit and bring it through the trygon.

That's exactly what I'm going for, but the trygons are so expensive. I might swap a unit of gaunts for a mawloc just as a distraction. 100 pts he's a bargain.

I might try something like this to deal with a bubble wrap. Trygon drop off termagants and thin out conscripts or whatever other bubble wraps, this is mostly to clear the way for the first turn charge from the genestealer unit i use hive commander on.
