I know most people have poured through the spoilers so far, well... one guy is still in the dark.

Here's an 8th ed. wish-list for Dark Eldar http://midwestwargaming.com/new-age-suffering-model-wish-list-drukhari-new-warhammer-40000/

Rather than making a wishlist for how units might work better you should actually take a look at rules for those units. The indexes have been leaked for weeks now, no reason you couldn't have taken a look at them. And they release officially tomorrow. No reason you couldn't wait till tomorrow to read them officially if you didn't want to see leaks.

But positing proposed changes to units that have already changed, without seeing how they have changed is both pointless and frankly rather daft.

Now there are other ways in which you could wishlist DE, such as fixing the useless weapons in the army list (two of the three Wych weapons, as well as Haywire Blasters and to some degree Heat Lances) are mathematically useless on the table. As with 7th one of the Wych weapons does statistically more damage than the other two in all scenario's, Haywire Blasters are mathematically inferior to every other weapon (the chance of a couple mortal wounds does not compare to the Dark Lances straight ability to cut through armour) and Heat Lances are only useful against characters because again mathematically, even accounting for -1 to hits Dark Lances do more damage, and cost less. So first thing, is to fix those weapons. Also the Needle Pistol has the same stats as the Splinter Pistol but costs points, I think that's just a typo though.

As for positive wishlisting, it'd be nice to get a larger Coven model, some kind of behemoth pain engine, perhaps a siege beast or something that can take on the larger models in CC. And I'd like something like the 5th ed webway portals that we can drop down and have units come out of in subsequent turns.

Well, that was sort of a pointless article wishlisting things that we know how they already work...

my list:

1) Fix Razorflails and give them an actual role. I was kind of hoping wych weapons would become more expensive and more impactful rather than just weird 3-5pt upgrades.

2) Hekatrix bloodbrides should be able to take 4 special weapons to mirror Trueborn. Also, a min unit size of 4 would be killer, allowing them to be run in a venom with an HQ as a little honor guard. Court of the Archon works great in this edition but I'd love to be able to have a succubus in a venom with some bloodbrides, it would give them an actual role distinct from Wyches.

3) A mobile HQ to go along with Reavers/Hellions/Beastpacks etc. a jetbike succubus/archon option akin to the skyrunner CWE HQ would be fine.

4) a big haemonculus monster would be OK, but I'd rather get a grotesque plastic kit with more options and better rules.

5) 11 and 6 transport capacity in venoms and raiders would be awesome, because so many of our units need/like buffer HQs and right now they just..don't...quite...fit.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

My wish list is too long and extensive so how about this...

A writer who actually plays/likes the army to write the book so we're not stuck with this these janky rules.

How about giving the Archon some balls in close combat, he's absolutely pathetic.

Unwieldy on the Archite Glaive? Really? Strength 5 is going to break the game now?

Torment Grenade Launchers back on the raiders.

Klaives should do 2 damage or be strength 5.

Reavers should be given better blade vanes. They suck in combat now, which makes me not want to take them.

Give us new Incubi units and models. Make Incubus everything.

Kill Primaris, Kill the Primarchs. They don't belong in 40K
