Seems like a damn scary list, the amount of firepower at range the Taurox Prime put out (at that price too!); with a Knight to cover the front.

That said, it doesn't have the maximal Scion/Plasma spam, so perhaps it could be weak to more elite armies - that said, that many Krak/Frag missiles coming out, with autocannons to boot - no joke.

I actually don't know that this is that great. The Taurox are 140 points each and the Knight is just sort of creating a target for any really big guns the enemy has.

Recently I've been testing an Ynnari list that's basically:
Yncarne
Farseer
4x Shuriken Cannon Wave Serpents with 10x Guardians
3x Hemlock Wraithfighters

I think it stacks up pretty well. The Wave Serpents are highly resistant to plasma. The Hemlocks can aim Smites at the Knight while shooting the Taurox. The Guardians are pretty threatening to everything and can do great damage to the Knight if it's Doomed. If I need to I can blow all the Serpent Shields for an expected 6.67 mortal wounds. The Yncarne may not be the best here but I'm not sure he's the best in general; I'm trying to figure out if he makes sense in the list.

He can improve the list running command squads. Doubling the number of plasma guns.

That list will struggle with objectives for one, as it only has 30 odd models. On key element for Scions generally is spacing and DS denial. You need bubble wrap to push the DS out away from the heart of your army. The Scions are mostly an alpha strike problem, so if you can limit their ability to dakka key targets on the drop they're less dangerous.

The Tauroxes are really just a math problem. That's 60 wounds at T6 with a 3+. You either have a list that can dish enough volume dakka to deal or you don't. Tying them up in HtH with fast units is also an potential solution (if you can get there.

Use big guns on the Knight.

Yeah, it's an optimized list, but it's not game breaking, just really WAAC.

He knows that I know and you know that he actually doesn't know the rules at all.

I've played against something like this. 4 plasma scion comsquads and 6 basilisks in a 1k pt game.

It's worth noting that the Conscripts add a whole lot to the list, since you can't really punch a hole in them to charge the vehicles unless you devote a whole lot of firepower to the job.

First of all, that's a 1k pt game. Larger games will see more stuff on your part either.

Than it's not that hard to kill 30 dudes with mediocre toughness and armor. Any ork or ig player can confirm this. 30-man squads go down in one shooting phase. And as the rest of the list are vehicles - there are no better targets for anti-infantry weapons around anywayz.

Sure, this list is not an easy nut to crack. But it's by no means invincible.
