I'm thinking about getting some Land Speeders and Attack Bikes (The ones with those cute little sidecars) They seem pretty good, but has anyone used them and have an opinion on their worth?

Specifically against Tau and CSM armies.

Eight speeders, two storms, bikes and flyers owner here. Yes they can be really good. Assault cannons, typhoons, heavy flamers all perform their roles well. Playing maelstrom, the mobility is insane (scout bikers are 16" before advancing; landspeeder storms 18"), and the enhanced durability this edition for speeders is fantastic.

They definitely want heavy flamers to counter being assaulted, and you need to get used to the idea of using them to charge opponents (!) in order to subdue the opposition's shooting. FLY is huge here, backing out your full movement and shooting again.

Could not tell you about using them against Tau or power armour specifically though (I play vs Daemons and Eldar mostly).

I was originally planning to use them as a rapid response sort of unit, someone packing decent punch that could zoom around to shore up any fronts that were starting to falter.

I'm not liable to get assaulted as very few of my opponents rely on melee (though a Nid may be thrown in at some point) but the idea of flamers and subduing sounds like a pretty excellent technique to tie up firewarrors or crisis suits.

They do quite well in my opinion. But are fairly fragile
