Hey there, so with new rules, new stories, I got inspired about expanding my Imperium-forces even more. BUT, what to add in particular, something that fluff-wise is situated near my existing force by the look on the galactic map... I was intrested about Iron Hands, but I have no clue where they are situated.

My collection so far;
- Steel Legion (140+ infantry, 15+ vehicles)
- Dark Angels (4th company, support tanks, scouts, ravenwing, deathwing)
- minimal skitarii+admech support
- Knight from house cadmus

My current projects unfinished;
- Mordian Airbourne cadets (30 models)
- Air support
- mixed infantry (heavy weapons squads, conscripts, rough riders)
- Space Wolf thundercavalry and some support units

And a distant project, from apocalypse, Marine 1st company, with hundred models atleast (I was planning to create them as Ultramarines, but on the galactic map Macgragge is too far a way to join the battle)

So, anything fluff-wise is useful at the point.

it'd be expensive and annoying to do, but how about a sisters of battle contingent?

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Didn't the Rock (DA asteroid base) fly close to Armageddon in the recent fluff? Might remmember it wrong but if so then pretty much anything Armageddon or Imperial would work well. since you have Steel legion already... Inquisition maybe? Grey knights? Angron is said to be heading to Armageddon for round two.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

The Rock has changed place, from Eastern Fringe to near Armageddon, so that could be great for fluff.. Also, there is near Fenris, so building Space Wolves could be awesome. From Grey Knights and Battle Sisters, I'd go for Sisters, for variety in force (and cool models).. Also in the same segment are Baal with Blood Angels (those could be great as fielded whole 1st company)..

Anyways, thank you for suggestions..

Don't go with Sisters unless you really like overly expensive metal miniatures.
Iron Hands hail from Medusa, which is not far from the Eye of Terror.
It should be noted however that Space Marines travel all over the galaxy, not just close to their homeworlds.
For example, the Ultramarines were on Armageddon during the second war.
You could also go with Salamanders. They are awesome and have fought on Armageddon several times. Blood Angels too.

You could reinforce with an elite force of Grey Knights or Custodes to combat some special-interest foes in the fluff? Chaos incursions would necessitate their presence.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.
