Can anyone explain to me why you would take these over regular terminators and more importantly if it is worth it?

Cataphractii improved invul save, massive nerf to movement?

Tartaros better movement?

Pretty new so this might be a totally stupid question haha

Reviving this thread rather than starting my own...

My thoughts:

Both have access to single or twin lightning claws, which are much cheaper and still effective.

Cataphractii seem best out of transports, where their flaw is redeemed by getting place in range.

Personally, I feel like Cataphractii fit the same role as assault terminators (again, assuming transport), swapping the TH/SS option for save that's almost as good across the board and not gear-dependent, and a lot of short-ranged options, while the Tartaros largely swap for footslogger ranged terminators, where you have some interesting cheaper options and higher movement.

But I'd love to hear some more experienced/nuanced reactions.

Best used out of deep strike vs big shooty squads in the enemy backfield. I've seen them used effectively, but are pretty niche.
