I'm planning on adding to my blood angels for 8th ed. I like the idea of a themed army so was wondering how a small force of scouts would get on. Ideally I would like something competitive, but more importantly themed. I'm also going to use the age of sigmar new dwarfs, these seem to be nice models, definatley better than the current sm scouts. Would anyone have any objections??? They are going to be squats with the scouts rules
Any tips or advice on this are greatly welcomed

You mean like an all Scout List? Best bring Scout Bikes, Scouts in Land Speeder. After that, mix up between Sniper/HW squads and Shottie/Assault squads.

Maybe put some Whirlwind's in, as that would make some thematic sense, Forward Observers and all...

As far as kitbash, nobody I know would object, tournies might be another story...

Scout lists look pretty good IMO. They have pretty much the same damage output as a tactical squad and have more flexible deployment options. I have been toying with three scout squads that infiltrate 9.1" away from enemy shooting units and then deploy 2-3 vindicaires behind them to toss a few blind grenades at them to degrade their shooting. This buys time for the rest of the army to get into position. Scouts are also great for mitigating turn 1 charges and pushing out that 9" bubble to protect your more valuable units.
