My very first attempt to make a list for 8th edition. Also the first list I've made in a couple years.

Hoping I got the numbers right as I'm still getting used to having to piece together all the unit and wargear costs. This list is designed to make the most of what models I already have + what I want to get.

There's a couple things I'm not sure about. First and foremost the Chaos Spawn. Now that I can't give them MoN are they even worth it? Second is the Cultists. I could just throw in 20 more Poxwalkers to take (more) advantage of Typhus' buffs. Spawn seem like they could still be decent in tying up units with their 20 wounds but they don't get DR/FNP.

Rhino has to pay for the stock bolters. Helbrutes have to pay for their fists. Bloat Drones have to pay for their plague spitters and plague probe. The list is something like 200-300ish points over budget since you didn't pay for those.

Necrosius compares very favourably to the poxcaster. 20pts more, and gives you rerolls to DR on poxwalkers

Consider taking a regular Chaos Sorcerer instead of the Plaguecaster. It gives you access to the regular CSM Psychic powers while Typhus still gets to use the Death Guard ones.

maybe im wrong but the bloat drone is equipped with 2 plague "spewers" (cant remember the name) and a probe so I think it costs more that 99. I don't think you can take it without any weapons but I could be wrong
I prefer the pox walkers over cultists if im running typhus.
Spawn are good. Im not sold on plaguecaster due to the fact they cant cast warptime. I think a sorcerer would be better if your list is more close combat oriented. personally id want to get the 40 pox walkers in CC asap
