I would put Lascannons and Typhoon missiles on your Stormraven, will make it a much nastier anti-tank unit then, you could take one psilencer off the purgation squad and you'd be at 2000p still [I think]

I second the Twin Lascannon

Also, surprised you are giving up the two hurricane bolters on your raven for only 8 points.

Scrap two psilencers and you have the potential of an extra 24 shots. or at minimum you have the same 6 shots you would get from the psilencers

Hurricane bolter is Rapid Fire 6

well after playing a tournemant with this list i made some adjustments.

dreadknights can soke up alot of fire but dont put out the damage at range and in CC vs heavy's and mobs.

100 bolter shots are brutal and easly wipe out mobs or centurions

the brother ancient is nice but most of the time you dont come in close combat so it's alot of waisted points.

the storm raven is a nice anti heavy and also can soke up alot of fire power.

- razorbacks have the same amount of wounds and with the twin lascannons can do more damage vs heavy's.
- some more terminators to boost those bolter shots
- apothecary to ressurect those termies or SQ
- a librarian to boost those units and to geth a re roll to charge on the deepstrike with those termies
- the purigation squad with those psylencer is really cheap for there damage output.

some more adjustments:

- the primaris....wy? cause he's cheap and needed an extra HQ for that battalion +3 CP
- 3 strike squads for 120 bolter shots with reroll to hit from driago
- 2 storm ravens cause they are really worth there point valeu, mobility and damage output
- 2 dreadknights again to soke up some firepower and dish out anti infantery fire with the psylencers and anti heavy with the swords
- a dreadnought from some long rage fire support

chaged the list again . those dreadknights really have to few damage output. the inquisitor is nice for character hunting with the needle pistol and being a specialist so he can target characters even if they are not the closest model.
i also was mistaken in the pointcost for the dreadnought as he is a psycher he cost more for the grey knights

Its good to see that GK has no more delivery problem.
GKSS can start close to the enemy and can bring their (now devastating) storm bolters fully to bear. This makes GK a much better army.

Yes indeed. Getting hit with a 120 bolter shots from 3 squads is devastating. Even 40 per squad hits home hard with re Rolls from driago.

Shame they still die quickly when retaliated

maybe a bit more nastier version of the list.

deepstrike driago between the stormravens and the razorback and go nuts . less strike squad fire power but that is compensated by the 3rd stormraven.
so i would use the strike squad only to clean late game objectives together with those acolytes (even if they are faq'ed now )

cant wait for that new grey knight codex. hop they fix dreadknights and make them more mobile and give them more damage output vs pointcost cause the are not worth taking in matched play. much more better options.
do hope they leave stormravens alone and grey knights can still use them cause they are awsome!

The Specialist Ordo doesn't let you target the character if they're not the closest, it just gives you re-roll 1s when you do target a character. Just a heads up.

Yeah tnx. Noticed that in my last game.

I have only played one game of 8th so far but it seemed like the dreadknight with the sword was an absolute MC destroyer. After some smite spam one of them cleaved skarrbrand apart on the charge and wiped him out before he could even strike back.

Trein they are hard if you can geth them close but against knights they cannot hold there own. They geth torn apart by shooting and Cc. For one dreadknight you have almost two razorbacks with twin assault cannons. That are 20 wounds with 24 S6 shots.
