I'll be attending a small learning tournament here in the near future and I would like to solicit some feedback on my list. I want to try out a couple of things so I know the list is not optimized at the moment. Please have a look and offer any constructive feedback that comes to mind. Thanks!

Battalion Detachment (+3CP)
Wolf Guard Battle Leader, frost axe, combi plasma
Ulrik the Slayer

Elite
Lukas the Trickster
5 Wulfen, frost claws, 2 TH/SS, 2 Great Frost Axes

Troops
8 Blood Claws, flamer, 1 pack leader w/power axe, 1 wolf guard pack leader w/plasma pistol, thunder hammer
8 Blood Claws, flamer, 1 pack leader w/power axe, 1 wolf guard pack leader w/plasma pistol, thunder hammer
8 Grey Hunters, 2 plasma guns, plasma pistol, 1 pack leader w/power sword, 1 wolf guard pack leader w/frost sword, combiplasma

Heavy Support
5 Long Fangs, 4 plasma cannons
Land Raider Crusader, twin assault cannon, 2 hurricane bolters (wulfen)

Dedicated Transports
Rhino, 2 storm bolters (blood claws)
Rhino, 2 storm bolters (blood claws)
Drop Pod, 1 storm bolter (grey hunters)
Drop Pod, 1 storm bolter (grey hunters)

The plan is to load up the wulfen, Lukas, and Ulrik in the Crusader and form a dedicated assault element with the blood claws. The grey hunters and long fangs drop together of a flank to create another threat that needs to be dealt with. The wolf guard battle leader goes into the pod with the long fangs to give them re-roll 1s to wound. That makes them a pretty effective firebase that can re-roll 1s to hit and wound. I still have 35 points to play with as well.

I'd change from Plasma cannons to missile launchers, which are both better at anti-tank and anti infantry now (unless you want to super charge). I now feel 105pts for a drop pod is a waste butif it is key to your battle plan then keep them.

Thanks for the response. I am beginning to come around on the missile launcher, so that is a good idea. The two drop pods are intended to drop in together to create dilemmas for my opponents. With five drops, I will most likely get the first turn so I can close the gap quickly. I worry about hordes and 3+ knights.

I think your main problem is if your Wulfen get taken down turn 1 or two then you're going to struggle. Sound obvious but the rest of the army isn't going to hurt anything big unless your long fangs get lucky.

You have too many transports and only a few choppy units.

I'd go with a massive blob of blood claws with ulrik and lukas in the land raider and 2 units of 10 grey hunters on foot with fewer upgrades. Thunder hammers in particularly seem not rewarding on troops.

Long fangs on foot too, they only need to stay in cover and shoot.

Ditch the pods and the rhinos.

Add a unit of thunderwolves or another squad of wulfen with the spared points.

Man, I haven't gotten the Imperium Index yet....105 points for a drop pod?!?!

How much is a Stormwolf? If Wulfen can ride in that still I'm okay.
