This is one of my favorite things about the new edition. Just got my copy of Imperial Armour: Forces of The Adeptus Astartes and the Infernum Pattern Razorback (multi-melta) is now a DT instead of FA. I know the Gladius is gone, but it irked me when people argued you couldn't take it since the formation specified "Razorback." Now my Melta devs have a Metla box to roll around in

The rules for "dedicated transport " say you can take one for each other unit in the detachment. Does that mean we can take Razorbacks as dedicated transports for each of our Stormravens and Land Raiders?

Yes, technically. In no way does that allow a Razorback to transport anything it can't normally, but yes, you can do that. You can even do things like buying a Tactical squad of 10, a Sternguard squad of 10, a Vindicator and a Captain, four Razorbacks, and then put one each of your combat squads in a separate Razorback. Or putting a 5-man Sternguard squad and a 5-man Tactical squad in the same Rhino, if you wanted to.

It depends if there is something in the rules that says they must start embarked in the dedicated transport they take.
If not then I think it might be RAI vs RAW

There is no such thing as a dedicated transport that any particular units take.

DT is a completely separate choice unlocked for each choice you take.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
