So my two DI boxes arrived yesterday, and being a person who hates using stock models, I'm not going to be using any of them as-is

I've seen lots of people bemoaning the lack of variety in the monopose/snapfit models so, because I have two boxes, I thought I'd set myself a challenge: Kitbash the Death Guard using only bits available in the box itself



First up is the Lord of Contagion - not much can be done with him, to be honest. the helmet has some mobility if you snip the peg off and a minor axe repose was possible with a lot of cutting



Almost exactly as he's supposed to be, but with the Plague Champion's backpack (minus the fly). I was going to do something more drastic and give him the powerfist until I saw the next guy..



Easily the most involved conversion, ising marts from at least 4 different models (Fist, Body/pack, Knife arm, Barf) - once I saw the big armoured belly it was obvious he'd be the best model to give the Powerfist to.



Nobody likes the babyface Malignant Plaguecaster, so I thought the best thing to do would be to steal his staff and use it on the other bareheaded model, the Plague Champion. there's a lack of left-handed weapons which is why he has a bolter instead of bolt pistol.



Last one, so far. Bolter with the ammo belt scraped off and the barrel replaced by a Poxwalker weapon makes a decent enough flamer. helmet's a bit of a botch job, needs GS but if you only have the starter and want a second special weapon, at least it's possible

This was more of a proof of concept rather than anything else, I can't see most of these guys making it into my final army in their current form, but hopefully it sparks some ideas in people

Really like this, Ive used the double guys ( back and legs are the same on 2 models and used some blight king bits that i had and made some really cool conversions with them.
