I have BS version 2.01.02 and have managed to get AM, IKs and SMs working.
However I downloaded Orks, Nids and Eldar in .catz files but they dont show up in BS no matter what I be trying.

Any ideas or pointers / links on how to get them running.
I've seen Nid lists on here posted saying "made with battlescribe" so they definitely are working somewhere.....

Try importing http://battlescribedata.appspot.com/repos/wh40k/index.bsi - that should pull in every faction. I've successfully built Tau, Eldar, Dark Eldar and Sisters lists with it.

Every time I load that file I go to pick a force and BattleScribe crashes. Any ideas?

try a 100% uninstall and delete all old files from device then reinstall and reimport.

It's a shame we don't have some sort of simple to use web based army list builder...
