So, what would you say is the best all around weapon loadout for the Relic Leviathan Dreadnought, ranged? I am thinking about either two Storm Cannons or one Storm Cannon and a Grav-flux Bombard. I did some testing, and the two Storm Cannons obviously shreds infantry like no ones business. They deal two damage with each shot, so they can also deal with lightly armoured vehicles quite well. However, the Grav-flux Bombard can deal a potential 15 (!) wounds on a vehicle, which is HUGE. You still have that one Storm Cannon to either finish the vehicle off, or shoot at something else, but would two of them be better just for the amount of shots? Magnetization is always a thing, sure. I might just get two Storm Cannons anyway and magnetize 'em. Still want to know your opinions though

Imperials have tons of access to infantry shredding. Razorbacks with AC are one of the most aggressively priced items in all of 8th Edition.
Knight killing... now that is harder to come by. I think its obscenely pricey, but man... a double Grav-Bombard could be really fun in the right match-up.

Im interested in peoples thoughts on this. I'm waiting for my book atm, and am chomping at the bit to see some FW Dread stats.

I have ordered my Leviathan now, and I went for the version with one Storm Cannon and one Grav-flux Bombard. I also ordered one more separate Storm Cannon, and once I've magnetized the arms I will try the different load outs. I feel like one of each is the most balanced for all situations though. Looking forward to fielding him!

10/10 double storm cannon. My greatest sadness for the CSM version of this dude is that we can't take double butcher cannons. Tbh the claws are nice, but for 8 points more (not sure if the points are the same for imperials) I'd gladly sacrifice a meltagun and general CC prowess to have an insane amount of shots hitting on 2's at great range (is the imperial storm cannon 36"? I forget. The Chaos version is and it's delicious)
My second greatest sadness is that for some reason, our refractor field technology has worsened, only giving us the 4++ in combat. Why? Who's to say? At least we get a 5++ vs shooting

Storm Cannons are 24" range. In the Imperial version the melee weapons are more expensive than the ranged ones (except the melta one, that is the most expensive choice for the Leviathan), but they are pretty darn brutal as well. I am more of a shooty guy myself though, so that's fine

Does the Imperial Leviathan still have the rule where you have to charge if you're in range? My book was shipped on the 7th last month and it's still not here! The joys of living in Aus

It's really hard to say, because the Leviathan can be kitted out to do what you want for a pretty moderate price.
I'm personally leaning towards the Grav or Melta, followed with the Drill. I think I can get infantry shredding elsewhere, but the Storm Cannon is one of the greatest generalist weapons out there.
