Looks nice, although I did notice a few things.

- No Commissars. You probably need at least one to make sure the regiment doesn't bring shame on The Emperor. I guess a single Lord Commissar would probably go with the command staff whilst you could have 2-3 others spread out, keeping the men in line and inspiring them.
- Similarly, a few priests would help tend to all the spiritual needs of a regiment.
- A few techpriests to keep everything running.
- Some psykers, although you could pass on those depending on how your regiment feels about warp-damned mutant abominations.

So really just a few characters to tend to the different roles they have. You don't need to go crazy but it would be weird if you had none at all. Even the most loyal regiment will usually have a single Commissar and priest, and a few techpriests to keep things running.

On a purely organisational note, the Scion company and all of the aircraft are treated weirdly in a Guard army. They are not directly under the authority of the Guard, they are sort of seconded from other organisations. That is why you have liason officers like Commissars (for Scions) and officers of the fleet (for navy).

For your infantry brigade, there are a few options for the commander. You could just go for a Captain/Major if you like. Or you could use a Commissar, which could be explained as him receiving a field commission and needing to take charge of the unreliable conscripts. Whilst Commissars are normally outside of the chain of command, it is not unheard of for them to be commissioned officers and given command. One example would be Colonel-Commissar Gaunt. So it would be easy to take a Lieutenant-Commissar or something if you want to.

Looks like an interesting army, and a reasonable representation of an actual force. Are you planning to do proper regimental markings at all? It can be quite satisfying to have every unit with regimental, company, and platoon markings.

Ah yes, other staff, I have primaris psyker, priest, commissar and yarrick, but I am keeping them in a diffrent Detachment. Well, maybe not commissars. I have painted my steel legions as space nazies, uniforms grey. I am about to apply this painting to others too. I'm happy that they added salamander as a hq choice. Thanks so much for a reply, check my blog from my signature.

Yarrick works really well, very fluffy for a Steel Legion list. Nice looking army btw. I like how distinctive that deathstrike looks.

Yeah, I m building my force around Armageddon, I have 3rd edition codex where I m looking stuff. I also like realistic side of miniatures, my force having an invention of rocket science made into new weapons. So, until I get new points cost for my imperial guard, I m planning for open play. I am a big fan of apocalypse also.

The real question is, can the Ofiicer of the Fleet "cast" (his re-rolls of one) while in his Valk or Valk Variant? Nothing on his data sheet lets him ignore, and it's only 18', even in the Index it shows him in his Officers Valkyrie. I hope GW clears this up, because I would love to use him for my Vendetta Duo. You list looks good btw, Commisars are a tough lot for your type of army though, you NEED 2 , and think about Yarrick, he looks Overpriced, and he kind of is, but he is still pretty good, just hope snipers aren't in your opponents list or Yarrick is toast with Ork Fungus Jelly Spread on him.

Says somewhere in the core rules that nothing can be effected by a model in a transport, sorry. no measuring commissar auras from the edge of your chimera or your officer of the fleet giving the valk he's in re-rolls
