I am building the models for this list so some criticism before I have spent the hours making and painting, (and buying some) of the models would not go amiss.

Main tactics
- Conscripts to get in the way of the enemy advance - commissar to follow them to negate moral and Co. Commander to bark FRFSRF at them.
- Lascannon HW teams in infantry squads to stop them being picked off so easily.
- Voxcaster in each LC infantry squad to extend range of Co Commander if he is close by to one and he has given up on the conscripts.
- 2 bog standard infantry squads for objectives, move move move order if necessary.
- LRBT's to take incoming fire, they will be an annoyance if you don't deal with them) whilst Basilisk and LC HWT take out big threats. Everything else will have to wither the mass Lasguns.
- If I face tau, your damn right I going to run my guys across that board and clog their guns up with meat.
Would love to know what you guys think of this list.
Is there anything i can do to improve it, streamline it, or I am overlooking some major component of a pure IG list.

My initial thought is at 1000 points, a Tank Commander is an expensive luxury. You could add two more Company Commanders and then all of your infantry could receive an order.....and have points left over for other stuff. I love the Tank Commander, but I'd run him in 1500+ point lists where I'm running more Leman Russ tanks than just one. Don't discount Flamers. Not having to roll to hit is huge when you fire overwatch when charged. Max conscript size is also a good idea as someone else has said. Otherwise it's a solid list.

Most efficient Leman Russ are the Punishers by far. Pony up a tiny bit more for Pask and make both your tanks Punishers with triple HBs
Get some more Conscripts and park them somewhere. You only need 1 Commissar - if an Infantry Squad has taken casualties, it's already FUBAR. Mortars are handy and cheap way to get some extra long range shots. Maybe drop 1 Infantry Squad (see below why)
Save some point, use the Imperial Armour Earthshaker Battery to save a few more points. Or just scrap it for a Manticore if you don't want to use IA
If you scrape enough points together, get another Manticore. Much better than a Demolisher for damage output

If anyone ever runs a Tank Commander I always recommend Knight Commander Pask for 10 more points. He can issue orders to himself, and is a BS 2+. All that for 10 points, always worth it.

My god - didn't realise Pask is so cheap.
Not a fan of forge world models or named characters so I never looked at him.
I will have to add Tank commander 'not' Pask to my list.

Don't know if you need to pay for stuff on the commander or commissar cause if either of them are fighting somethings gone terribly wrong.
Also if you can squeeze in another heavy support and HQ you get another command point! just something to consider.
Looks good otherwise, plenty of anti tank and anti horde, some snipers wouldn't go amiss i don't think to take out pesky characters

Seems solid. I got crushed the other night by a 1500 list
that was pretty similar to your current one. Only thing he added was some deep striking plasma gun guys. Along with more Lemon Russes and wyverns.
