Locally we have some that believe these cards are obsolete? Im not sure why that is so. As far as I can tell they all work perfectly fine and I do not see any reason not to use them.

The new Maelstom cards are better. Fewer cards with objectives that cannot be achieved by most armies and/or are more reliant on your opponent's build than anything else. Personally if I was playing the 8th Maelstrom missions I would make my opponents use the Stretegem to discard a tactical objective they didn't like now that the objectives are so much more balanced.

I have Tau and Farsight cards. As they are the same number of 8th (and 8th still has the cast power objective, now clumped with deny; funny thing, Tau can't deny!), I'll keep using them
