Been Around the Block

I quit playing 40K around the beginning of 5th edition. Have not really touched it since. I have however decided to get back into it with 8th. I have some Tzeentch demon models from way back, and some more from my foray into AoS (as well as some of the recent models I picked up just for cool factor). I also recently acquired some IG in a trade. I am looking for recommendations to round out my collections for these two armies.

On the Tzeentch front I have:

Lord of Change
Magnus the Red
Changeling
Herald on Foot
Herald on Disk
20x Pink Horrors
30x Blues
30x Brimstones
6x Screamers
6x Flamers
2x Burning Chariots
20x Tzaangors
1x AoS Ogroid I plan on slapping on a larger base and using as a Demon Prince.
1x Mutalith Vortex Beast, whom I am looking for something for him to count as in 40K, as the model is amazing (I have been given Giant Chaos Spawn and Maulerfiend with Tendrils as suggestions).

I am already planning on getting:

Arhiman
Exalted Sorcerers
2x T Son Terminator boxes
2x Rubric Marines

I have also heard the Helldrake, and the Forge/Maulerfiend are good, but I am not sure on those.

On the IG front I have:

5x Guardsmen w/ pistol + sword
35x w/ lasgun
5x w/ flamer
5x w/ missile launcher (they are solo on small bases, so I would have to rebase them, and lose one of the above lasgun guys when I use them)
1x w/ Lascannon
2x w/ Vox Caster
1x w/ Sniper
1x w/ plasma gun
1x w/ heavy flamer
1x w/ sniper rifle

*Then there is a small group of metal guys that are less armored than Storm troopers, but more so than normal guardsmen.*
1x with what looks like a pistol and powerfist
1x chainsword and pistol
6x melta guns
1x plasma gun

*Then the characters.*
1x Master of ordinance.
1x What looks to be an older commisar w/ plasma pistol, power sword, and bionics.
1x Officer w/ chainsword and pistol

*Tanks*
1x of the old metal/plastic Griffon w/ heavy bolter (I guess it no longer exists though, so I guess it would have to be a counts as wyvern).
1x Hellhound w/ hull heavy bolter.
1x Russ with Battle Cannon and hull heavy bolter (no sponsons)
1x Basilisk w/ hull heavy bolter
3x Scout Sentinels w/ Muli Lasers.

On that front I am thinking about getting two more basilisks to form an artillery base and maybe one of the baneblade chassis as a center piece.

Overall though, I am not sure whats worth running out of what I have vs. what I should ignore. Also while I think I have my Tzeentch mostly figured out (except the daemon vehicles, or anything else you guys might suggest), I am mostly clueless on the IG front (they have a bit more going on).

If you want to run infantry you'll want to double what you've got. On the tank front you probably just want more of everything you have. Not a lot to the guard, usually the answer is just "more".

Can't help with the heretical stuff but it looks like you have plenty already.

More is always better for guard.

Griffon is still a thing, its in forgeworlds new indexes. Heres a peak though, 48", Heavy D6 (roll 2, pick the highest), S6, Ap-1, D D3, doesnt need line of sight, target gets no bonus to cover.

Hellhound is very nice to have, I prefer the chemical cannon myself. If you can swap that hull bolter for a flamer you'll be in better shape.

Another basilisk is good call, I'd recommend a wyvern set as well (magnetize it so you can swap between that and a hydra). Some would argue that heavy weapons teams w mortars are more point-efficient than a wyvern. They are probably right.

You'll want some scions or old Kasirkin models to run with plasma/melta due to their outflanking.

GW makes a pack of 5 snap together guardsmen w guns for fairly cheap, buy a bunch of these and you'll have plenty of standard lasguns and save yourself some $.

You will probably want Sgt Harker, Creed or Yarrick, a Primaris Psyker, and possibly a Priest.

Scout Sentinels aren't bad this ed, but they arent great either. I've only ran them once (to fill a detachment) and it was with flamers to help the Bane Wolf eliminate a squad of quickly advancing infantry. They did their job, but didnt last long.

If you can find an old IG Battleforce somewhere, that wouldnt be a bad buy either. 25 models, gives you another melta and plasma gun and some more heavy weapon options. another sentinel which, meh, okay.
