I'm currently building an Ogryn Auxilia list and I've come to a point where I can't decide between the two ranged anti-infantry units. I've done a bit of maths to see which is deadlier, but I firstly may be wrong and secondly found they are good for different things which left me stuck. The Ogryn are considerably cheaper (35 ppm, or 4 power for three of them), and make ranged attacks at Str 5 (which is great for hunting MEQ's and above and fits their close combat Str 5 well), but they also have a poor save (5+) and only make three shots. Bullgryns have a much better save (4+/4++ or 2+), and make d6 shots (statistically higher than 3), but are much more expensive and only shoot at Str 4 (Okay for MEQ's, minces GEQ's).
Basically I just can''t choose which is the most competitive option (Competitive being a relative term as this is an Ogryn Auxilia army). Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks lads.
