It's a nice list.

For 2k it's a little light in the infantry department, but you've got a lot of armor to draw fire. I'm also a fan of Rune Priests this edition, JotWW is awesome once again; not broken, but really good. If you're going to go the route of a WGBL; I would, personally, find a way to upgrade your him into a Wolf Lord. For the few points that you pay more for a Wolf Lord over a WGBL the benefits are exponential. The Wolf Lord and everyone around him benefits from rerolling 1's to hit, he's got a 4++, a BS 2+, an extra Ld, and another wound. I believe that a Wolf Lord with Power Axe is only one point more than your current WGBL build.

Anyway, just my two cents. As always play the game in whatever way makes you happy. Good luck. For Russ and the Allfather!!!

Thanks for your interest. I think you made some very good points.

There is a Baterp Here, if you are interested.

Stuck in Warpfire

I don't know if you want like an in depth commentary on it or not , but I'll give my thoughts.

Transports are over coated unless you are spamming them out specifically and with a character like guilliman for rerolls.

Wg terminators with cyclones are too expensive for what they do. And often force you to move and shoot with heavies to get them into range.

There's not really a point to mixing missiles and las. Just bring all las for anti tank and use something else for anti infantry.

Sadly I find our basic troops to not really be effective at anything. Our elites are going to carry us I think, until we get a codex. Wg on bikes or with jumpacks and storm bolter are great at clearing hordes.

It looks like you struggled with the tough de monsters once they hit your lines. Specifically when they hit your long fangs and basically shut them down by forcing the fall back. I believe situations like that could be solved by A: chaff screens of say some fenrisian wolves and B: a hard hitting assault unit, for example a ven dread with axe and shield.

Just my two cents . Could be off by a mile but hats kind of what I've been seeing with my games. Anti horde and some strong cc combined with some chaff has been a good recipe.

Yeah the DE monsters were really dangerous when they got to the long fangs and they are so quick! Blowing up the Tantalus turn one barely slowed them down.

Wow. Interesting Batrep. Sounds like it was a tough game, but well played.

The ability of Psykers to cause mortal wounds and attempt to Deny The Witch can't be underestimated in this edition.

I agree with Cheebs on several points and would like to add some more insight.

Space Wolf Scouts with Sniper Rifles can be held in reserve and appear within six inches of any board edge as long as they are nine inches from enemy models. With this in mind they could be brought in behind your opponent to target characters from their own board edge. Remember you can move and fire with Sniper Rifles (at +1). It can make things interesting for your opponent when a cheap unit (90pts for six) that can single out characters appears behind his lines. They're also great at snagging objectives close to your enemies board edge late game, since you decide when they appear.

I'd drop the sixth Grey Hunter and load all the Razorbacks with Storm Bolters - just hose the battlefield with bolter rounds.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.
