Hello,some friends and I are playing a casual 8th event this Saturday, and I'm wanting to bring my Guard. Problem is, I can't choose between these two lists.

List #1

Spearhead Detachment

HQ: Paskisher w/ 3x HB

Elite: Vindicaire

Fast Attack: Hellhound w/ HF

Heavy Support:

-Leman Russ Battle Tank w/ HB

-Leman Russ Demolisher w/ 3x HB

-Heavy Weapon Squad w/ 3x Lascannon

-Heavy Weapon Squad w/ 2x HB, 1x Autocannon

-Wyvern w/ HB




List #2

Spearhead Detachment

HQ; Paskisher w/ Plasma Sponsons, HB

Elite: 2x Scion Command Squad w/ 2x Plasma Gun, 2x Volley Gun (Both squads embarked on Taurox)

Fast Attack: Hellhound w/ HF

Heavy Support:

-Leman Russ Demolisher w/ 3x HB

-Heavy Weapon Squad w/ 3x Lascannon

-Heavy Weapon Squad w/ 2x HB, 1x Autocannon

-Wyvern w/ HB

Dedicated Transport:

-Taurox Prime w/ Taurox Battle Cannon, 2x Autocannons


Ideas on which list I should take and any other C+C is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I'd probably go with the second. Or a combination like,

Pask, punisher, hull HB, HB sponsons, storm bolter
Scion command, 4 plasmas
Hellhound, HF
Russ Demolisher, HBm storm bolter
Russ Battle Cannon, HB, storm bolter
Manticore, HB, storm bolter
Taurox Prime, TBC, 2 ACs, storm bolter
1000

I still don't like heavy weapons teams by themselves. Morales not an issue like it was but they're still squishy.

I unfortunately haven't been able to track down a Manticore yet, theyve been selling out since they got good

You could take the wyvern then and chuck sponsons on the russes.
