Hello all,

Thinking of collecting Deathwatch to have another army to play on the side in 8th. I chose Deathwatch, and this list in particular, to have a cheap (money) small and easy to build and paint army. That is so I have other things to play besides my main army (Tau) but doesn't take too much time or money to get table ready and painted.

That being said, I have zero experience with the Deathwatch army...didn't even look at the book last edition. This list intends to be generic, elite and fluffy (several of my models are kitted out of the Cassius Kill Team etc.) Let me know what you guys think!

-Battalion Detachment-
HQ
110 – Watch Captain with Jump Pack w:/ Plasma Pistol and Master-crafted Power Sword.
-I plan on "deepstriking" him with the Vanguard Vets to start running a muck in my enemies backline.
105 – Librarian w:/ Force Sword.
-Force Multiplier (plus I think the model looks cool). He'll be riding in the Land Raider with the melee oriented killteam and buffing the hell out of them.
Elites
204 – (5) Deathwatch Vanguard Veterans w:/ [3] Lightning Claw Pairs and [2] Heavy Thunder Hammer.
-See Captain Entry
Troops
274 – (6) Deathwatch Kill Team w:/
- (5) Deathwatch Veteran w:/ Deathwatch Frag Cannon.
- (1) Deathwatch Vanguard Veteran w:/ Chainsword and Hand Flamer.
-These guys will be in the Blackstar and will be dropped off to destroy pretty much everything. Vanguard there to add to the overwatch and allow them to run away from combat to blast people away some more. My only question is how does deployment from a flying transport work?
Can the Blackstar go supersonic after dropping them off?

188 – (6) Deathwatch Kill Team w:/
- (5) Deathwatch Veteran w:/ Stalker Patter Boltgun.
- (1) Deathwatch Terminator w:/ Assault Cannon and Power Fist.
-These guys will be sitting in my deployment (hopefully in cover), sniping and playing objectives. I want to see if I can use the teleport homer shenanigans to secure extra objectives.

339 – (8) Deathwatch Kill Team w:/
- (1) Watch Sargent w:/ Combi-plasma and Xenophase Sword.
- (1) Black Shield w:/ Lightning Claw Pair.
- (1) Deathwatch Veteran w:/ [2] Chainswords.
- (1) Deathwatch Veteran w:/ Power Sword and Plasma Pistol.
- (1) Deathwatch Veteran w:/ Infernus Heavy Bolter.
- (1) Deathwatch Veteran w:/ Combi-plasma and Power Sword.
- (1) Deathwatch Veteran w:/ Heavy Thunder Hammer.
- (1) Deathwatch Terminator w:/ Heavy Flamer, Power Fist and Meltagun.
-The melee beast of a squad in the land raider. Basically my idea is to drive the thing up the center of my opponents army, have these guys charge out screaming and cut down everything and anything in their path. Probably a bad idea but Suffer Not the Alien to Live amiright?

Fast Attack
115 – (3) Deathwatch Bikers w:/ [2] Power Swords, Power Axe and Deathwatch Teleport Homer.
-Extra firepower, mobility for them and the sniping killteam, plus they are good in combat. Very versatile from what I've seen. With their special ammo guns I could ask them to do literally anything.
Flyers
251 – Corvus Blackstar w:/ [2] Stormstrike Missle Launcher, Twin Assault Cannon, Hurricane Bolter, Auspex Array, Infernum Halo-launcher.
-Flying Taxi for the Frag Cannons (allowing me to place them within 8 inches of enemies) and over all annoying flying weapons platform. Not sure about lascannon verses assault cannon though.

Heavy Support
385 – Land Raider w:/ Twin-heavy Bolter, [2] Twin-lasscannon, Storm Bolter, Multi-melta.
-Bullet magnet to allow everything else to kill things. Might drop some of the addon weapons.
Total : 1971
CPs: 6

Final Note: Not sure where to invest the rest of the points. If I drop some of the upgrades I might be able to get some more models. Not sure where its needed atm.
