I'm going to work on a Fallen team for SWA using the Chaos rules and the rank and file dudes are going to be toting two swords and a bolt pistol. Now I'm going to try kit bash them from DA:vets kit and Mk IV marine kit. I just don't know how to best pull off the load outs on the minis. I could just use a regular space marine bolt pistol arm, and the MK IV kit has some neat sheathed swords/daggers. I've scoured lots of alternative part sites and I can't find much that strikes my fancy. If I could find neat swords, I could also do a holstered bolt pistol...I'm still pretty open at this point.

These are Scout bolt pistols with the barrel trimmed off. I made a new longer barrel from styrene rod, drilled across with a pin vise to make the flash hider holes. Something about the longer barrel just screams 'ancient' or mastercrafted. They might look nice and archaic for Fallen. These were added to Empire Pistoleer hands for the wooden grip, but that obviously won't work for Marines.

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"

Vanguard pistols?
There's some ornate ones without imperial symbols.
Or take a file to em.

Howver they look more baroque and detailed.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.
