Hi Dakka,

I finished this guy up yesterday. I wanted to do a test run before I started work on the Primaris Marines and I'm more or less happy with how he turned out - a bit of refinement in certain areas and I think I'm there.

I copied other Mortifactor schemes with the addition of the cracks as I felt plain bone was a bit too dull. I also made my own decal sheet which I used for the skull, before painting over it with glazes. The decal was clear so I sprayed the centre of the pad a bone white colour first. I might weather the Primaris a little more but we'll see.

I have a day of drilling bolter barrels, decorating bases and priming before I start work so any C&C's would be welcome. I'm aiming for a good/solid tabletop level with a dash of skull panache

Thanks for looking

I love seeing old school chapters or one's you don't see usually done so nicely! that's an excellent job and looks brilliant!

The cracking looks ace. I fear that doing a whole army's skull shoulder pads to that amount of amazing detail is probably going to drive you crazy though!

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
