Just want to make sure we aren't playing this wrong in our group.
Let's say I had a Bloodthirster which attacked my opponants KillaKans, the BT does d6 damage per wound and the KillaKans have 5 wounds each. I got some pretty good rolls and wounded with all 6 of my attacks. Now for damage: I roll 5 1s and a 6 for my damage. Here's what we want clarifying: can my opponant deal 4x1 damage + 1x6 damage to one KillaKan and then put the last damage on the next KillaKan along? That way, from a total of 11 damage, he only loses one KillaKan and another only loses one wound.
That's how we are playing it at the moment but we'd just like to check.
Thanks.

Correct. Non-mortal wounds cannot spill over. However since they have random damage you need to roll them to wound separately one at a time.

You allocate wounding hits one at a time, make the save and then roll for the amount of damage. Note that once one of the Kans is wounded, you'll need to allocate remaining wounding hits to it until it's dead or you run out of wounding hits.

So if I rolled each dice 1 at a time and got: 1, 6, 1, 1, 1, 1, would my opponant have to allocate the 1 and 6 onto his KillaKan first before allocating the other 1s? If that's the case you can't really do minimum damage recieved shenanigans.

See above. You don't roll for the amount of damage until that wounding hit has been allocated to a model and the armour save failed, and that's done one wounding hit at a time.

Ah, we've been playing it wrong then. :/

IJW Thanks for pointing that out as it's easily overlooked and avoids wound allocation scheme's.
