Happy second AoS anniversary everyone!

Two years of lots of good changes, lots of fun games, lots of great stories and lots of thining your coats.

(Also lots of salt )

I've been having a blast expanding my armies, reading the new materials, creating new stories, discussing the lore and cosplaying Stormcasts in every online game I could and yelling "Only the faithful!" while charging a boss head on.

What have you enjoyed so far and fondly look back on?

I was one of the few who actually liked the visual appeal of the Stormcast when they were first released, and I think they marked a good turn in my painting skill. I gained a lot of knowledge about highlighting metallics, though there's still a lot to be learned from them.

Pre General's Handbook the AoS train really dropped off, like it did in most places. You were lucky to see 1 AoS game being played, so the Stormcast didn't see much expansion.

After the GHB released, well AoS kicked off again, even being more popular than 40k on some days (and was actually my favourite tabletop game at the time). More of my Stormcast were painted, and I managed to win Best Painted as well as coming 2nd in my first tournament. I avoided 40k tournaments due to my 40k army being fairly uncompetitive in a local meta full of highly competitive armies. This again died off over time, especially because of 8th edition and Shadow War: Armageddon, though much better than before. It's not uncommon to see an AoS game going on now, which is a good spot to be in. Hopefully with the GHB V2.0 on the horizon, AoS will pick back up again.

I got to admit it did turn out well for me aswell. Rather then spending money on sifi fantasy toys I did other stuff.

Got a new house, car and found a new minature company that doesn't shat on me daily and and and has a lore that is not about ghost lizards and star ship bases in fantasy oh and stargates.

Haha, didn't you collect Destruction though? Anyway, thanks for the salt! Great way to get a holiday going is with the tear-mixed drinks of salty fans.

Wow, great job.

(Best I could hope for would be a participation award, haha)

Hopefully with the GHB V2.0 on the horizon, AoS will pick back up again.

No doubt, thanks for sharing your story.

Indeed but then who will gather all the delicious salt lying around?

I am happy he found another company, though. Gotta enjoy your hobby first and foremost.

Chubbs is like a person who goes through a bad break up and is "totally over it" while continually hanging off every development in the ex's life to make sure she's as unhappy as he is.

Of course we're having a blast instead so that naturally breeds a bit of salt

At any rate, celebrating hundreds of AoS games and almost two years of playing with points! Whee!

I have a thing for tzeench and beastmen and well.... how can i resist :p. But sadly they will for ever just be display pieces now :(.

I like AoS in general, and i'm one of those people mostly glad for a lot of changes that were made (even to the fluff) and so i say well done, game. You're all right.

Plus i love Silver Tower. More.

My favorite time was the first 10 months or so of the game pre-GHB when the community stepped up and drove it forward. I'll not forget those times.

Yeah, really loved the creativity and just the general good sportsmanship. The generals handshake era.

@Knight, haha, why'd you edit out the teeth brushing joke?

You know, SCE were pretty low on my list of priorities but after reading that one book I want to make a steelsoul chamber. ONLY THE FAITHFUL!

Happy Anniversary to us faithful few. My lgs saw a drop in numbers at first but since GHB the numbers have grown and the story battles have been amazing. We did a huge 4 vs 4 realmgate battle chaos vs everyone else which ended with a buddy of mine bringing Nagosh and ruining all of us ...lol. I am in the process of rebasing my Blight Kings, getting them ready for the next story battle as Paths to Glory is coming soon !!! Praying daily that GW will show Nurgle some favor and give me more models to paint ....The skeptic has become the biggest fan.

Only the faithful!

I'm currently painting my SC in Lions of Sigmar colours.

Long, hot day, finished work in a rather toxic office. Didn't felt like going against someone who might not see it funny. In all seriousness, reading BL novels in the evening has become one of my favorite things to do. They're light and I feel they're moving away from bloody battle reports that many of them were in the past. Wish they'd publish AoS comic. That'd be sweet on multiple levels.

I'm seeing the appeal for a Hallowed Knights chamber, but I've already painted so many Stormcast in my Legions of Sigmar colours. The main problem I've had with the SC is that they keep snapping - like the pointy backpacks and their melee weapons. Every Starsoul Mace I've made has snapped off, and I've even got one ready to pin right now actually. First world problems, eh?
